Nails Inc: Chelsea Manor Gardens & Marylebone

Hellooo peeps!

For those of you who follow my blog A Haze of Pain will know that I've been having more Prolotherapy treatment this week so whilst I've been bedbound and in pain for the last couple of days I've been sorting out some of my latest Nail photo's ready for posting (that and watching cat video's on youtube!).

Following my previous post about my obsession love of the Nails Inc Sprinkles Polishes and how excited I was that the full size of Beaufort Street (which I only had in a mini size before) was part of a new 3 piece collection on QVC and on free P&P for their 10th anniversary! Nails Inc 3 Piece Candy Floss Collection So guess what?! Yes, I bought it. Straight into the shopping basket!

I have an absolutely gorgeous glitter gradient mani to show you today. I've tried a few of these lately but this is the first one I'm posting. I think it looks really effective and I've had tons of comments! I've seen around the blogosphere that some people use a make-up sponge to do a glitter gradient but I found I could it it much more easily (and with less mess) just using the polish brush!

Chelsea Manor Gardens: Is a pastel candy pink cream shade. This came from the Candy Floss Collection I mentioned above. I'm normally a bit wary of pale pink polishes because I find some of can be a bit wishy-washy and streaky or they just look like nothing on the nails, especially with my fair skin (although I do have a bit of tan now!). However this one is gorgeous, it's a pastel pink but with cool lilacy undertones which I think makes it really unusual and more wearable. It dries to a lovely opaque glossy cream. I also have this on my toes at the moment - LOVE!

Marylebone: Is a 3D Glitter Polish in Pink and Silver. I got this a while ago from the Nails Inc website. I thought this shade would match in really well with the candy pink. You can use it for a full coverage glitter effect, a light sparkle, tips or for a glitter gradient like I've done here!

So what do you think of my glitter gradient mani, pretty? And do you like the shade of this pink polish? Ooh I also recently added a link to my Instagram account on the right of the blog > check it out!

Nails Inc: Beaufort Street and Ladbroke Square (New Sprinkles!)

Hey everyone,

I'm really sorry I've been neglecting this blog lately! Turns out its harder to keep all 3 blogs up to date than I previously thought! Never mind though I have tons of nail polish photos and reviews to update you on now so I'm going to get cracking with this one...
I am absolutely loving the Nails Inc sprinkles polishes at the moment! I think I have managed to collect all of the ones released so far on Nails Inc' website and QVC.

I find these sprinkles polishes really easy to paint too. I often have trouble getting a perfect, neat line particularly round the cuticle but because of the glitter particles these don't show if you mess up a bit!

Both of these ones are Mini's I bought in sets from NailsInc.com recently.

Beaufort Street: Is a gorgeous gorgeous nude pink base colour with black, grey and white sprinkles in it. This came as a free gift with my order, I got this gorgeous nude/pink bag along with two Mini polishes including Beaufort Street and Onslow Gardens (dusky pink).

Ladbroke Square: Is a gorgeous turquoise green base colour with dark purpley blue and aqua sprinkles in it. It comes in the Ice Cream and Sprinkles Collection along with Charing Cross Road (pale pink) and Upper Regent Street (toffee).

I hope Nails Inc do these in full sizes at some point, they're both so stunning. Until then you can get Ladbroke Square on the Nails Inc website in the Ice Cream and Sprinkles Collection. Beaufort Street isn't available in the free gift set on their website anymore but I've just seen on the QVC website that Beaufort Street is available in a full size in this collection!! Nails Inc 3 Piece Candy Floss Collection They have some 10 year anniversary shows coming up on QVC this week so this collection along with a few others are currently on free P&P!

Nails Inc: Feather Effect Collection

I snapped up this trio of Nails inc Feather Effect polishes from QVC as soon as I saw them come online as I've been so excited about trying them! They are part of Nails Inc's brand new 'textured range' of polishes so are very unique. They are kind of like glitters only long strands/fibres instead of rounds or hexagonal pieces and they're not shiny or sparkly, it did look like feathers on the nail to me! You can just build them up on their own but I wanted to layer them over a base colour because I thought it would look nicer.

Yes, they are difficult to remove! Although not really any more difficult than a normal glitter polish, just takes a little patience.

L-R: Cornwall, York, Chester

Cornwall: Has bright cobalt blue and white fibres in a clear base. I have layered two coats over a white base coat, I used Barry M Matte White. These polishes practically drink up top coats! I wanted to create a smooth finish because that's generally how I like my nail polish and I ended up needing 3-4 coats of top coat to make it smooth to touch, so quite a lot! I decided to use one of my cheaper top coats though so I didn't waste a nice one and then some quick dry on top - sorted!

This one I thought looked absolutely STUNNING! The look kind of made me think of those beautiful blue and white patterned china vases or plates. I adored wearing this one!

York: This one has a peach and white feather fibres in a clear base. I have layered two coats over Barry M Matte White again. I loved the peachy tone it's really pretty and perfect for spring/summer.

Chester: This is the one that appealed most to me when I first saw it in the bottle because of it's muti coloured pastels! It has blue, peach and yellow fibres in a clear base. I layered this over Barry M Mint Green as I thought it would go well with the feather colours.

Overall I really love this range they are so unique and pretty, what do you think? Cornwall definitely was my favourite! Like I said above, to get a smooth finish you need about 4 coats of top coat because the feather fibres practically drink it! But just use a cheap one and a bit of quick dry on top and you're sorted. I'm looking forward to trying some of them over different coloured bases and I'm thinking of trying Chester again over a white base. There is another feathers shade that has just launched on the Nails Inc website called Edinburgh that I'm keen to try.

You can buy the Nails inc Feather Effect Polishes from the Nails Inc Website (£11)

Welcome! | Nails Inc: Leather Effect - Shoreditch Lane

Hello,

Welcome to my blog! This is dedicated to my addiction to nail polish and nail art. I'm an avid follower of other peoples beauty blogs and enjoy browsing through their pictures. I always take photos of my favourite manicures and nail art designs and I thought a blog of my own would be a great way to to show them off and review my favourite brands!

I have 2 other blogs, My Beaded Treasures for my online Jewellery shop and I have recently set up KatieK Pain all about my condition and treatments.

I have a pretty good (okay large!) nail polish collection most of which is made up of Nails Inc, Models Own and Barry M polishes but I also have a selection of OPI, Rimmel, Jessica, Revlon and Maxfactor. I'm collecting more all the time!

I also have some Konad nail stamping sets which I enjoy experimenting with so you'll be seeing some of those creations too.

I have a bunch of photos of previous manicures to post on here but for my first post I thought I'd start with something new...

Shoreditch Lane: Is a mulberry leather effect polish. I got this from QVC in the Today's Special Value (TSV) in January. It doesn't have a leather cap like the others but that doesn't bother me because it's such a gorgeous colour! The sort of colour I'd go for texture or no texture. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the texture at first because I do like a glossy finish but I actually really liked it for a change, it wasn't particularly gritty either and I didn't find it catching on clothing. To look at it really did look like leather! I found 2 thin coats worked best with this polish, the leather texture dried down more effectively that way.

Nails Inc (TSV) - (left-right) Express Remover Pot, Campden Hill Road, Royal Botanical Gardens, Lowndes Court, Henley (feathers), Belgravia Gardens, Shoreditch Lane (leather).

I will be reviewing the other TSV polishes sometime soon.

I entered the Nails Inc 'Leather & Skulls Competition' for the chance to win £200 shopping vouchers, a luxurious designer skull bangle plus a Nails Inc goody bag worth £300. Sadly I didn't win but there were so many lovely entries. I made up the shoot with my leather look nails which match my mulberry leather purse perfectly, alongside my studded bow ring, wrap bracelet and a skull necklace (made by me!) all resting on my black leather jacket. I took tons of photo's and here are a few of the best!
